The Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) has conveyed, through an official Note Verbale, its profound concern to the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany regarding the recent decision to receive representatives appointed by the Taliban group to Afghanistan\u2019s official representations in Germany.<\/p>\n
The Note emphasizes that this decision:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Is incompatible with the immutable principles of the Germany constitution, particularly Articles 1 and 20, which obligate all state authorities to respect and protect human dignity;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Contravenes Germany\u2019s binding commitments under Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights and Article 4 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights olegitimizepean Union, both of which categorically prohibit actions that could lead to torture or inhuman treatment and preclude cooperation with regimes responsible for gross human rights violations;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Stands in direct contradiction to Germany\u2019s leading role in advancing the Women, Peace, and Security agenda at the United Nations Security Council, particularly through its support for Resolutions 2467 (2019) and 2493 (2019).<\/p>\n
In light of the above, AFF has respectfully requested that the Federal Foreign Office reconsider its decision and expel the Taliban-appointed representatives. Furthermore, it recommends that any cooperation concerning Afghan migrants be conducted solely through multilateral mechanisms under the auspices of the United Nations and in coordination with the diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in order to prevent any action that might confer legitimacy upon the Taliban.<\/p>\n
