Afghanistan Freedom Front Marks International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women: A Call for Justice and Resistance Against Taliban Oppression
November 25, 2024
The Afghanistan Freedom Front Commemorates November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The global 16-day campaign to combat gender-based violence begins as Afghanistan women and girls endure the darkest days of their history under the oppressive and anti-human regime of the Taliban.
Over the past three years, gender apartheid has been enforced in its most extreme form under the illegitimate and suppressing Taliban rule in Afghanistan. This group has deprived women of their most fundamental rights, and today, “gender apartheid” stands as the most prominent characteristic of the Taliban regime on a global scale.
The Afghanistan Freedom Front holds the ongoing, meaningful, and value-driven struggles of Afghanistan women and girls in the highest regard and will spare no effort in overthrowing the tyrannical and misogynistic Taliban regime. The AFF views the women’s movement and the relentless efforts of the brave and conscious Afghanistan women to secure their rights as an inseparable part of Afghanistan’s liberation movement and a powerful ally in this sacred struggle.
The Afghanistan Freedom Front, while valuing the unwavering support of international human rights organizations for the struggles of Afghanistan women, expresses serious concern over opaque efforts to overlook Taliban atrocities and lobbying aimed at increasing engagement and compromise with this terrorist group. AFF strongly warns against the detrimental consequences of interacting with the Taliban terrorist group for regional and global security and stability.
The core mission of the AFF is a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustained struggle to return the right of ownership and sovereignty of Afghanistan to its people. In this process, the purposeful and informed struggles of women are undoubtedly the dynamic and enduring driving force towards freedom and equality in our homeland.
