Guerrillas from the Afghanistan Freedom Front launched an operation against the Taliban in the Sayyad district of Sar-e Pol province on the night of September 13, 2024. In this attack, which took place around 11:00 PM, a Taliban checkpoint was targeted. As a result of the operation, a Taliban member named Jumma Khan, also known as Mullah Omar, was killed, and two other members of the group were wounded.
