Afghanistan Freedom Front launched rocket attacks on a gathering of Taliban militias being deployed to Badakhshan Province

For the second time in the past week, freedom fighters of the Afghanistan Freedom Front launched rocket attacks on a gathering of Taliban militias being deployed to Badakhshan Province, disrupting the group’s reinforcement transfers to the battlefield.

The rocket attack targeted the military section of Kunduz Airfield at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The strike hit a concentration of Taliban terrorists gathered near military helicopters at the base.

The headquarters of the Taliban’s Northeastern Army Corps, located closed to Kunduz Airfield, has become a key hub for the deployment and dispatch of the group’s fighters to Badakhshan Province.

The exact number of enemy casualties and the extent of the damage caused by the operation are not yet available.
